Welcome to Queensland Health's RMO Recruitment and Placement Campaign for the 2011 intake.

Applications for Resident Medical Officer and Registrar positions in Queensland opened on Tuesday 22nd June 2010.

Applications close at 12 midnight (AEST), Monday 19th July 2010.

All applications must be made through the on-line recruitment and placement program. Written applications will not be accepted.

2011 Health Care Facilities Term Dates

2011 is the commencement of staggered start dates for Resident Medical Officers. Interns, Junior House Officers and Senior House Officers will commence on Monday 24 January 2011 through to Sunday 22 January 2012, and Principal House Officers and Registrars will start two weeks later on Monday 7 February 2011 through to Sunday 5 February 2012.

Queensland Health Bonded Medical Scholarship Holders

For the first time in 2010, Queensland Health Bonded Medical Scholarship Holders (QHBMSH’s) will participate in the 2011 RMO eRecruitment campaign for recruitment and allocation to positions across Queensland. When applying through the campaign, it is important to note the QHBMSH’s are restricted to applying to vacancies at hospitals which do not feature on the 2011 Restricted Area of Priority Service (APS) listing. For the 2011 RMO campaign, the APS restricted hospitals include:

Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital,
Royal Childrens Hospital,
Princess Alexandra Hospital,
Mater Hospital,
The Prince Charles Hospital; and
QEII Hospital
