Dedicated training program

Individual Emergency Departments offer a dedicated training program with weekly resident sessions.

Most departments have their own equipped tutorial room.

Medical education within Health Service Districts in Queensland Health are supported by a dedicated Director of Clinical Training and Medical Education Officer.
More Learning for Interns in Emergency (MoLIE)

A number of innovative vocational and pre-vocational education initiatives have been developed by Queensland Health to support our current and future workforce.

In particular, "More Learning for Interns in Emergency" (MoLIE) is a prototype for clinical education that incorporates dedicated, structured teaching time with clinical educators.

This scheduling will allow an increase of Interns within each Emergency Department rotation (estimated to be between 20 to 40% in medium to large EDs).

The aim of MoLIE is to create a practically oriented around gained clinical experience.

In addition to MoLIE supports faculty development for involved clinician educators, equipping them with the ability to focus on the educational quality and effectiveness of their teaching.
Research and development
